Last night I went to see Bring Me The Horizon play at the Bar Academy in Islington (that's the little venue upstairs from the main one). It was a pretty packed show - full of crazy haircuts and noisy metal. Bring Me The Horizon were pretty snazzy (despite bad sound) and had fists pumping and hands clapping (as well as a kinda wall of death from the front to the back of the room). Me and my mates were content to just do silly dancing at the back - trying to juggle glasses of lemonade with handbags and flyers. They do sort of the same type of thing as BMTH (shouty, noisy mathcore) but with a really nice dirty groove that make the songs a bit easier on the ear. They are pretty good mates with Brighton's biggest act Johnny Truant, and have toured together before. You can hear them for yourself at their Myspace page.
